Submissions
Submissions for the 2023 awards are now closed.
Submitted titles will be considered by the book-industry panel and the critics and reviewers panel and the composition of the shortlists will be announced 19th October. Successful publishers will be notified confidentially in advance. Due to the volume of submissions we regret that we cannot undertake to notify unsuccessful publishers. Copies of submitted titles are only required if your titles are shortlisted but NOT at the submissions stage.

Shortlist Announcement – 19th October
An Post Irish Book Awards Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony – 22nd November.
There will be a levy of €195 for each shortlisted title. The levy is to cover the costs of the overall project management, publicity and design, printing and distribution of the point of sale. Based on the increased exposure, there will also be a winner levy – the exact amount is still to be confirmed.
The number of submissions for each category will confirm which awards are actually presented.
