Sharon Arbuthnot is a Senior Researcher at Queen’s University Belfast. She is interested in lexicography, medieval medicine and glossaries, and rare and unusual words.

Máire Ní Mhaonaigh is Professor of Celtic and Medieval Studies at the University of Cambridge. She writes on medieval literature and history and on Ireland’s place in the wider world.

Gregory Toner is Professor of Irish at Queen’s University Belfast. His publications range across Irish language, literature and place-names.

Joe McLaren is a freelance illustrator and graduate of the University of Brighton. He has taught Foundation Illustration at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London.
