Darragh Martin

Darragh Martin grew up in Raheny in Dublin. Having officially left Ireland in 2004 to live in Australia and New Zealand, Darragh then went to New York on a Fulbright scholarship to Columbia University, where he completed his PhD in Theatre. He moved to London from New York in 2016. Darragh is a passionate campaigner for LGBTQ+ rights and has been involved with activist campaigns since university, most recently climate change and migrant rights. He has written several plays and a children’s novel, The Keeper, which was shortlisted for Children’s Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards in 2013.
